Conventions:

We have had a busy few months with attending the ACI convention in Philadelphia

And we are very proud that Fortec received project of the year award at the ICRI Meeting in Cleveland for our products being used in the Broadway Lofts parking Structure!

Fortec Case Study
Date: May 2013
Location: Broadway Loft Parking Garage San Antonio TX
Contractor: Surmac
Engineer:Bill Ciggelakis
Material Used: 2 ft counter sunk carbon fiber staples, 4 inch carbon carbon grid and #4020 LPL epoxy

Project Scope:
Metal pan concrete deck did not bond to Nelson Studs. We needed to develop a solution to deal with vertical deflection deck movement due to vehicle load traveling in aisles.

Conclusion: The large countersunk staples were used at 4 ft intervals to tie together concrete slabs. Carbon carbon grid was used for random cracking. Firefox cementitious overlay finished the restoration.
